Bringing your family

Sweden is a family-friendly country, with high quality free schooling and affordable healthcare, and family-friendly neighbourhoods.

Housing

The housing market especially in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö/Lund can be competitive. Start looking for housing as early as possible. Of course, the city centre of any city is the hardest to find housing in so try to look for something outside the city. Public transport and good opportunities for walking and cycling makes commuting easy.

Food and Supermarkets

Sweden has a strong food culture. Many cook and eat at home and there is a good selection of supermarkets. There is also a wide range of restaurants and other food outlets.

Schools and day-care

If you have children, there are many options for day-care and schooling. Contact your local city council to find the best option for you.
